Press conference to present the U19 European Championship at Midday (local) on 21 May.

Preparations for the U19 European Championship held in Bologna from July 29 to August 4 officially begin at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21.

During the press conference in the prestigious CONI Salone d’Onore, in Rome, which will be attended by CONI President Giovanni Malagò, FIDAF President Leoluca Orlando, Bologna City Councilor Roberta Li Calzi, and many other guests, including the companies and organizations supporting the FIDAF in this event, the program for the European Championship will be revealed as will the hard work that enabled Italy to win the bid to host the event.

For the first time in its history, the European tournament will have a major Presenting Sponsor: the Indian manufacturing giant Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), which specializes in the off-highway tire market for agricultural and industrial vehicles.
Havas Sports & Entertainment (Havas SE), the Havas Media sport business experts, was instrumental in sealing this important agreement and has been working with the FIDAF for two years to organize the Italian Bowl and now this year’s European Championship.

Italy, Austria, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden
and Finland have qualified to compete in the European Championship and these nations will be fielding nearly 500 young players in their quest to take home the European title. Bologna and Emilia Romagna provided an incredibly enthusiastic response to the Italian bid, offering synergetic solutions that aim to showcase and add value to the entire area as well as this top-flight competition.

The press conference is also an opportunity to preview the “La Danza dei Giganti” (The Dance of the Giants) photographic exhibition, which offers an exciting journey through some truly spectacular images of American football in Italy. Thanks to the support of Canon, the FIDAF will show the exhibition around the country over the coming year.

The press conference and the opening of the exhibition will be streamed live by FIDAF TV at:
