International Federation of American Football

The Federazione Italiana De American Football (FIDAF) was founded in 2002 and now has 81 teams playing in three divisions.  A total of 10 teams in the IFL – Italian Football Leauge (A1 division), 21 compete in the LENAF – Lega Nazionale American Football (A2 division) and 35 play in the CIF-9, 9-man football division.  Seven teams are in the formative stages and do not yet play competitively. The inaugural Youth championships start on October 1, 2011 with the Under 21 and Under 18 leagues both consisting of 21 teams.
