USA Football will conduct its 2012 Team USA Regional Trials event at Burger Stadium in Austin, Texas, featuring nearly 200 (Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19) football players from 11 states. Trials athletes will compete for roster spots on future U.S. National Teams.

The two-day trials event in Austin will include individual position drills, one-on-one and seven-on-seven competitions. Former NFL players serving as keynote speakers will address leadership and character-development topics as well offer suggestions to help families manage the college recruiting process.

USA Football employs skill development, evaluation and competition to assess trials athletes on their football abilities. Each player receives a written evaluation by USA Football's clinicians and scouts with NFL experience.

Among the 2012 Team USA Regional Trials clinicians are:

·         STEPHEN BRAGGS, former defensive back for the University of Texas and Cleveland Browns
·         KWAME CAVIL, former wide receiver for the University of Texas and Buffalo Bills
·         BILL LAVERONI, former offensive line coach with the Seattle Seahawks
·         STEVE PRICE, scouting and player development assistant with the Minnesota Vikings
·         TERRY SHEA, former NFL coach with Chiefs, Bears, Dolphins and Rams and quarterback coach for Baylor's Robert Griffin III in preparation for the 2012 NFL Draft

The trials will take place from 10am to 4.45pm at Burger Stadium on Saturday, January 28 and from 10am to 3.45pm on Sunday, January 29 when former NFL all-star LeCHARLES BENTLEY will speak.
