The International Federation of American Football will host its fourth biannual IFAF Technical Conference in Austin, Texas, from Thursday, July 5 to Saturday, July 7, in association with the 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship.

The U-19 national teams of American Samoa, Austria, Canada, France, Japan, Panama, Sweden and the United States will battle on the field at Burger Stadium in the Texas state capital from June 30 to July 7, while those who champion the development of the sport of American football around the world meet to help map out its grassroots future.

The three-day 2012 IFAF Technical Conference will include relevant presentations and interactive breakout sessions conducted by IFAF members and will focus on three main topics:
• Grassroots Development
• Health & Safety
• National Team Programs

All 62 IFAF federations have been invited to send at least one delegate to the Technical Conference and may send up to four representatives.

Schedule:

Thursday, July 5
9:00 am - 6:00 pm: Grassroots Development
6:30 pm - 8:30pm: Networking Reception

Friday, July 6
9:00 am - 3:45 pm: Health & Safety (includes a visit to University of Texas)
5:00 pm: 7th Place Game (Burger Stadium)
8:00 pm: 5th Place Game (Burger Stadium)

Saturday, July 7
9:00 am - 3:00 pm: National Team Programs
5:00 pm: Bronze Medal Game (Burger Stadium)
8:00 pm: Gold Medal Game (Burger Stadium)

Delegates will stay at the Renaissance Austin Hotel (9721 Arboretum Blvd, Austin, TX 78759-6316) host hotel of the IFAF Under-19 World Championship and will have the option to attend the games being played by the world's finest junior players.

The inaugural IFAF Technical Conference was held in Boston, Massachusetts in 2005 and in Stockholm, Sweden in 2008 and Orlando, Florida in 2010.
